But maybe you struggle to tell a compelling story in a digital space. My approach to helping you take your art online is both strategic and affordable - and has a bit of creative flair thrown in for good measure!
I’ll teach you ways to creatively communicate with the people you want to reach, all with strategy, tactics, budget AND playfulness in mind.
My Story
My career path has been far from straightforward, but that’s what has made it fun!
I have a PhD in Child Psychology from the University of Minnesota’s Institute of Child Development. Though I knew pretty early on in my graduate career that I didn’t want to continue with the academic life, I’m grateful for the content knowledge and research skills I carry with me into my work today.
Following my PhD, I worked for 5 years with the Children, Youth, and Family Consortium at the University of Minnesota. There I spent my days working on bridging the gap between research, practice, and policy and learned a ton about making good content that clearly communicates scientific research for public audiences.
I also wrote a book, started my YouTube channel, and gave professional development trainings - all focused on making research useful for professionals in the field.
In 2015, I decided to take the leap into full time self-employment, video production and consulting and have never looked back.
I love the creative work I’ve gotten to do over the last few years, including helping many choral organizations continue making music together throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and helping artists take the leap to get their art online in new and engaging ways.
I love helping others tell their own story and share their work in ways that work for them.

Not everything goes well in a bio, so here’s some fun facts about me:
I love playing board games, checking out local breweries, and playing trivia with friends. 🎲

I’ve been a life long singer, and have been singing with the National Lutheran Choir for over a decade. 🎼
(Even funner fact: When I was little, after I sang solos in front of large groups of people, I used to hide in the bathroom because talking to people afterward made me anxious.)
I’m a partner/strategist/song leader in a thing called Beer Choir - yes, it’s as fun and ridiculous as it sounds. 🍺
(Even funner fact: One year, for our Halloween event, I dressed up as a Soprano Solo Cup…insert groans here.)
I live in Saint Paul, MN with my husband Jason, and dogs Kaylee and Niles. 🐶
